Our goal in the Spring Valley Church Children’s Ministry is to become “Someone who Values Christ.” We want your child to feel special and loved. We strive to share God’s word in a way that kids will come to know, love, and serve him. Our volunteers seek to introduce and enhance the children’s relationship with Jesus, allow them to grow in spiritual formation, and to encourage maturation in their faith.
Wednesday nights
Our wednesday night Kid’s Club meets every other week from November to March
We encourage the children to deepen their faith and knowledge of the Bible
through large group lessons, small group activities, games and worship times
We are using slime to learn that God specializes in messy situations, because sometimes in life it feels like we’ve been slimed! Sometimes it’s because of decisions we make, sometimes it’s from decisions others make that hurt us. Through the life of Jacob, kids will learn that when we stick to God, He can make something beautiful out of any slimy situation.
Sunday Mornings
Our Nursery is open EVERY Sunday for your children ages 0-2. We provide a safe and nurturing area for them as well as any nursing mother’s who need a place to go.
Busy Bees | 2 year olds
Our Busy Bees are beginning to understand that the Bible is God’s special book. We use the heart shaper Curriculum to explain basic Biblical truths to our Busy Bees. We incorporate singing, stories, crafts and play into this classroom filled with our youngest children.
We will be using the Heartshaper curriculum in our 1st and 2nd Grade classroom. We are focused on helping kids love God and His word -- and live it out. Our goal is to Engage children to find and read Bible verses for themselves and take action to do what God asks them to do! We encourage memorization of weekly Bible verses to help children apply God's word ot their hearts and minds.
Little Explorers | 3 year old - Kindergarten
Our Little Explorers become a part of the Bible Story through learning and play. We use the Heartshaper Curriculum to help our Little Explorers: Know God and His word, serve God, worship God, follow Jesus, and Love God and others.
The What’s in the Bible? video series is an effort to provide kids a foundational knowledge of the Bible and of their faith that can launch them on a lifelong walk with God—a journey that will change them and change the world around them. We will be using the videos along with small and large group activities to help our children understand Biblical concepts and apply them to their lives.
