About us
Who We are
Here at Spring Valley, we have a casual and contemporary worship experience where all people, from non-believers to the devout, will feel comfortable to engage in a worship setting that allows them to have a personal encounter with God every Sunday. We hope that you find Spring Valley a place where you can grow in your walk with God, build and establish relationships, be a part of a community with fellow believers, and grow in your knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ!
Spring Valley is a marriage of two churches: Allendale re:formed and Spring Valley Community Church. Allendale re:formed was formerly Lighthouse Community Church and previous to that, First Reformed Church of Allendale. It is steeped in almost 100 years of history and has been located on the corner of 60th Avenue and Lake Michigan Drive in various forms over the course of those 100 years. Spring Valley Community Church was birthed in the fall of 2000 with a vision to reach the quickly changing and growing college community of Allendale, MI.
What might you expect on a typical Sunday morning?
When you come to Spring Valley on a Sunday, you’ll be greeted at the doors by a group of friendly people with warm welcomes and a hot cup of coffee waiting in our coffee corner! As you enter into the worship service, you’ll be welcomed with contemporary music mixed with some revived updated hymns and a message that will allow you to encounter Jesus on a personal, intimate level. After service, there are goodies, juice and coffee out in the main Hub to allow for a great time of fellowship!
We are apart of the Alliance of Reformed Churches. To learn more visit the ARC website.
